"Princess Proposal" {Dallas florist}

I emailed three florists last week:  Fête Des Fleurs, Bella Flora & Avant Garden.  The next day I received a phone call from Darren with Fête Des Fleurs and an email from Bella Flora, making appointments for Friday, June 22 and Thursday, June 28.  Avant Garden did email me back, but explained they would email me the following week with their availability for a meeting.  [Avant Garden - minus one.]

Friday afternoon, my mom, Aunt Bobbie and I had our first florist appointment with Darren, Fête Des Fleurs.  He was absolutely phenomenal!  He was so nice, creative, laid back, inventive and fun.  All great qualities I need from a professional.  Mom, Bobbie, Darren and I came up with what Darren called my "princess proposal" (lol).  After establishing the proposal, Darren took us into his work studio which was full of flowers and accessories that would be used for a wedding the next day.  As we walked through the work space, Darren pointed out specific flowers and ideas for my wedding.  I was so inspired!  Before we left, Darren had his partner make me a bouquet of peonies - my favorite!  [Darren - plus one!]

Mom, Aunt Bobbie and I left our meeting with Darren and went straight to Meddlesome Moth for lunch.  We sat and talked about how awesome Darren was and how he could do so many different things for our wedding day that would make it so special and unique.  EEEEE, so exciting!  I loved Darren and all his ideas so much that I cancelled my other appointments with Bella Flora and Avant Garden!  Mom, Bobbie and I had to go celebrate so we went to Tu-Lu's for cupcakes :)

Thank you so much, Ashlee, for recommending Fête Des Fleurs!  I can't wait to work with them and hopefully even "hang out with them as friends". ;)  And thank you, momma and Bobbie, for coming to the meeting with me.  So happy I had both of you next to me!  Had a blast, as always!

Saturday my dad called to invite Matt and me to dinner on Sunday evening and in the background I heard Shawna exclaim, "Pick a place where we can talk!"  Hmm...  

So last night, Matt and I met my dad and step-mom in Allen for dinner in much anticipation for the topic Shawna had up her sleeve.  After a few chips, Shawna told us that they want to throw us a family party to celebrate our engagement!  So sweet of them!  As she whipped out her notepad covered in family names, she asked if we'd say "yes" to the big blended family party idea.  "Heck yes!"  It'll be great for our families to meet before the wedding!  Can't wait!
